Position Title: Monitoring and Evaluation Officer
Location: Baglung, Nepal
Assignment Summary
Monitoring and evaluation with a Himalayan view! Take your M&E skills to Nepal and assist the
Cottage and Small Industry Development Board in Baglung.
The Cottage and Small Industry Development Board (CSIDB) is one of the key implementation
partners of the Micro Enterprise Development for Poverty Alleviation (MEDPA) program. The goal of
MEDPA is to contribute to the poverty reduction and employment generation efforts of the
Government of Nepal through micro-entrepreneurship development.
Your role will focus on supporting CSIDB to improve its M&E systems, especially in the areas of data
management, data collection, analysis and reporting of the MEDPA program.
Your role will have a direct impact on local communities as you work to encourage and enable
micro-entrepreneurs to create a new and dynamic business sector in the rural areas of Nepal.
Qualifications and Experience
Essential Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor Degree in Statistics, Economics or relevant field
Essential Minimum Experience:
• Three years of experience in the field of result based
monitoring and evaluation, including the application of M&E
related tools/techniques
• Experience producing high quality technical and
analytical reports involving quantitative data
• Demonstrated understanding of gender and social
inclusion issues and analysis
Desirables:
• Master Degree in Statistics, Economics or relevant field
• Enterprise and poverty alleviation program M&E
experience (preferably in both Development and
Government systems)
• Willingness to learn new skills and to work in rural areas
